It's a Good Life

Roberta Lea
Fellow musicians have called her Hampton Roads’ best kept secret. As a songwriter from Virginia, she comes from a long line of hit makers. Pharrell, Timberland, Missy Elliot, Ella Fitzgerald, the Dave Matthews Band and more are household names when it comes to hit records and Roberta Lea is well on her way to being the next hit songwriter on the list.
Like many before her, the journey to music started at church. She began writing songs and playing instruments for her band when she was a teenager. Soon, her song catalog grew; giving her more material than she could ever imagine possibly recording. It wasn’t until fans and supporters began demanding her music that she realized she needed to take herself seriously as an artist and take her original songs to a professional studio.
Since then she has released attention grabbing singles such as Water and Wine, Moonlight, and the fun hip hop song to accompany her children’s book of the same title, Kinky Curly Fuzzy Wavy.
She wants to become a leading songwriter in the industry and use her skills to not only appease the listeners ear, but also to educate and encourage others.
